Most diesel engines, no matter what they are in or used for are notorious for not starting in cold weather. The newer ones now have an electric pre warmer that will warm up the diesel for an easier start.

Buying a diesel cement mixer all depends on what one will use it for and their budget. Check before you buy any of them. Decide what you want it for, maybe instead of buying one can rent one. A diesel cement mixer is the most expensive type of mixer to buy whether it is portable or a two behind. But they are extremely reliable and the capacity and power can not be beat. Choose wisely and they will last a lifetime.
